What Marking Buddy does
Marking Buddy helps teachers mark assessments by applying your stated marking preferences to the scripts you upload, and surfacing the ones it is unsure about for your review. It is an assistant, not a replacement for your professional judgement.
You have final authority
You are responsible for the marks you return to learners. Marking Buddy surfaces uncertainty and lets you confirm or adjust, but the final decision is always yours. Marks and comments are generated by AI and may contain errors — always review before returning anything that matters.
Your responsibilities
Use the service lawfully and only for your own teaching. Do not upload real learner names or unnecessary personal information — use your private labels. Keep your login secure. Don't attempt to abuse, overload, or reverse the service.
Plans, billing and fair use
Free and paid plans are described on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed through Paddle, our merchant of record, and renew automatically until cancelled. Each plan includes a fair-use marking allowance; when you reach it, you can upgrade or wait for the allowance to reset. You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of your paid period.
Refunds
If Marking Buddy isn't right for you, contact us within 14 days of a charge and we'll sort out a fair resolution. Statutory consumer rights always apply.
Availability
We work hard to keep the service running but provide it “as is” without guarantees of uninterrupted availability. We may update features to improve the product.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
